Diagnostic services like ultrasound and endoscopy allow your vet to look at your pet’s internal organs to see if they are inflamed or blocked without the need for surgery.

The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) offers certifications as part of their Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) program, which registers dogs that adhere to their protocol for breed-specific health screenings. Usually, these certifications are sought out by people who are looking to breed their dog so they understand what health strengths and weaknesses their dog may pass along to their offspring. If you’re not breeding our pet, an OFA certification can help assess issues like hip and elbow dysplasia. Your vet can help determine if an OFA certification is the right choice for your pet.
